    સરદાર વલ્લભભાઇ પટેલ 

          👉  સરદાર વલ્લભભાઇ પટેલનો જન્મ  October 31,1875 ગુજરાતમાં કરમસદ ખાતે થયો હતો. તેમના પિતાનું નામ ઝવેરભાઇ અને માતાનું નામ લાડબા હતું. વલ્લભભાઇ કરમસદમાં ખેડૂત પરિવારના હતા. તેમના લગ્ન ઝવેરબા સાથે થયા હતા. વલ્લભભાઈ ઇંગ્લેન્ડ ગયા. તેમણે કાયદામાં ડિગ્રી મેળવી અને બેરિસ્ટર બન્યા. ભારત પાછા ફર્યા પછી, તેમણે અમદાવાદમાં કાયદાની પ્રેક્ટિસ કરી. 

           👉   1917 માં વલ્લભભાઇ ગાંધીજીના સંપર્કમાં આવ્યા. ગાંધીજીના સિધ્ધાંતો અને વિચારોથી પ્રેરાઈને વલ્લભભાઇ તેમની આઝાદીની લડતમાં તેમની સાથે જોડાયા. તેઓ ટૂંક સમયમાં ગાંધીજીની નજીક આવી ગયા. ગાંધીજીને વલ્લભભાઇના નેતૃત્વમાં ખૂબ વિશ્વાસ હતો.                   👉  વલ્લભભાઇ ખેડા ખાતે  બારડોલી સત્યાગ્રહની સફળતાપૂર્વક આગેવાની કરી. તેથી, લોકો તેમને પ્રેમથી 'સરદાર' કહેતા. બ્રિટિશરો દ્વારા તેમને ઘણી વખત કેદ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. સરદાર પટેલ 1924 થી 1928 દરમિયાન અમદાવાદના મેયર હતા. તેઓ એક સક્ષમ સંચાલક હતા. 

           👉   તેઓ ભારતના આયર્ન મેન તરીકે જાણીતા હતા. રજવાડાંઓને ભારતીય સંઘમાં ભળી દેવામાં તેમણે ખૂબ જ મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા ભજવી હતી. સરદાર સ્વતંત્ર ભારતના પ્રથમ નાયબ વડા પ્રધાન બન્યા. તેઓ ગૃહ પ્રધાન પણ હતા. 15,1950 ડિસેમ્બરે તેમનું અવસાન થયું.
